Instruction
To help university faculty transition to remote instruction, this webpage provides operational suggestions on e-learning, covering both asynchronous and synchronous distance learning. By leveraging digital learning tools such as Google Meet for live sessions, Evercam for course recording, and the flipped classroom approach, educators can create engaging and effective learning experiences. These resources are designed to support faculty in delivering high-quality instruction in virtual, blended, and hyflex environments.
School software
Teachers can download the required teaching software, Evercam Powerpoint, from the OIT website Download page.
Please log in using your school TMU account. If accessing from off-campus, make sure to use the VPN.
Asynchronous teaching
Asynchronous teaching: Teachers should first complete the course design and then can record lessons using Evercam(Windos user only). Afterward, the videos should be uploaded to Im'TMU course platform for course implementation.
If you are a MAC computer user, please check instruction below for screen recording.
Due to the inability to install Evercam on Mac, we recommend using PowerPoint’s built-in recording feature or OBS Studio for recording your courses. Both options provide reliable and efficient ways to capture your lectures with ease.
Synchronized Online Interaction
For synchronous teaching, it is recommended that teachers use Google Meet for live sessions. You can record your session directly within the meeting. After the session, you can find the recording in the 'Meet' folder in Google Drive. Please be sure to monitor your Google Drive storage, as there are storage limits to be aware of.
➡️Google Meet Training and Help
The Google official guide includes tutorials and descriptions of the latest features. Please refer to the official guide for more detailed instructions.
After your class, you can choose to upload the video to YouTube (Recommended) and provide link to I'mTMU or directly upload Video to I'mTMU.
